Meet The Chef



A 1987 graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Chef Darrell Belcher has over 35 years perfecting the culinary arts. Since the age of 10, his father passed down to him a love for the culinary arts and he has come a long way from peeling potatoes using a step stool.

He currently runs his own catering and culinary consulting company based out of Westchester NY. Prior to opening Belcher Catering & Consulting in 2015, he partnered with several associates and played a principal role in growing several multi-million dollar catering businesses. Following that venture, Belcher partnered with two chef partners and launched Roasted Peppers LLC; a Latin American Restaurant in the heart of Mamaroneck, NY. . "A deeply satisfying treat” and “Nothing short of wonderful" reviewed New York Times columnist M.H. Reed.


Belcher has worked as the Assistant Specialist to The Culinary Institute of America’s Adjunct Professor Program, as well as being an active member of The American Culinary Federation. He has also served on the board of Westchester Coalition for Hungry and Homeless and participated in March of Dimes Events, Taste of Westchester, Westchester County Adoption Day, and is 4th time ‘Best Ribs’ winner at The Greenburgh Taste-Off. He is also a faithful member of Union Baptist Church in White Plains NY.


Besides serving his community as a sought out the caterer, Belcher also consults for restaurants aiming to reach new profit and quality levels in this fast-paced industry.


Belcher has been associated with several charities such as Food Patch, Open Arms Shelter, and Gourmet Galaxy. He has won several awards throughout his career including The Ace award for Achievement in Catering Excellence of the Northern East Coast Region in 2007 and The Business Council of Westchester’s forty under 40 Rising Stars in 2006.
